Privacy
Browsing Private Label Source is free. You do not need an account, and you do not need to tell us who you are to search the directory or use the project planner.
What we collect
If you use Get matched on the project planner, Shay Labs / Private Label Source saves the project brief you send:
- the brief (product type, quantity, container size, market, stock or custom, special requirements, and questions for suppliers)
- your name and email
- that you opted in, with Shay Labs / Private Label Source named as the recipient
- possible matches shown on the page, so a person at Shay Labs can follow up with you
We do not send the brief to suppliers.
We also save a short anonymous note when someone starts the planner, views those matches, or requests an introduction. The note is only the event name (planner_start, matches_viewed, or intro_requested) and the time. It is not tied to your name or email. We do not use a cookie for this, and we do not use a third-party analytics service.
We do not write your IP address into the saved request or the event log. A hidden field on the form catches automated submissions. If it is filled in, we drop the submission and do not save it.
Get matched posts the brief to our server only after you tick the opt-in box. It does not email suppliers, and it does not open your email app.
Why
We save a project brief so a person at Shay Labs, which runs Private Label Source, can read it and follow up with you. We do not email suppliers, and we do not send the brief to them. The page ranks suppliers by fit: category, whether a published minimum order is within your quantity, and service type. Location and certifications count only when your project names them. Who pays, and whether a company is the owner's, does not decide the order.
We count the three anonymous events so we can see how often people start the planner, view matches, and ask for an introduction.
How long we keep it
We keep each saved request and each anonymous event line for up to 24 months, then delete them. The service does not delete on a timer yet. A person trims the files. Ask us if you want your request deleted sooner. We do not sell this information.
